Hardware DescriptionΒΆ
The default hardware that runs the SDK is the SPARK Evaluation Kit Board or better known as the EVK board. It includes the MCU necessary to run the WPS, manage the inputs and outputs required to stream analog audio and interface with a host PC via USB.
The EVK board uses the STMicroelectronics STM32G473 MCU. It is an Arm Cortex-M4 which can run up to 170 MHz. The MCU uses a SPI bus to communicate with the SPARK transceiver.
A block diagram of the EVK board is shown below.
The EVK board is packed with features such as a USB interface for reliable communications to the host PC, a MAX98091 audio codec with analog line-in and headphone jack, an expansion connector for extra GPIOs, an SPI interface and finally, some LEDs and buttons for user interaction.
